ADA Accessibility Statement

Version 2026-08-10-v3

Alera is committed to making our educational health software reasonably accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where practicable, and with applicable obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for public-facing digital services.

Our commitment

We design and test Alera so that people can perceive, operate, and understand core product flows—including sign-in, account settings, journal, and educational dashboards—using assistive technologies where reasonably possible.

Measures we take

Accessibility work at Alera includes:

  • Semantic HTML structure, labels, and focus-visible controls in primary interfaces
  • Color contrast targets aligned with WCAG guidance for body text and key actions
  • Keyboard operability for primary navigation and forms
  • Alternative text for meaningful brand imagery where applicable
  • Ongoing review of new features for accessibility regressions

Known limitations

Some educational charts, dense data tables, third-party embeds (for example payment fields hosted by Stripe), or older uploaded documents may not yet meet every WCAG success criterion. We prioritize fixes based on severity and user impact.

Feedback and assistance

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need content in an alternative format, or require assistance using Alera, contact us. Please describe the page, the barrier, and your assistive technology if relevant so we can respond effectively.

  • Email: privacy@aleralabs.io (subject line: Accessibility)
  • We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within a reasonable business timeframe

Third-party services

Alera integrates third parties such as Supabase Auth, Stripe, and optional AI providers. Their interfaces may have separate accessibility postures. We select vendors with accessibility in mind and escalate issues when they affect Alera users.

Updates

This statement may be updated as our product and accessibility program evolve. The version date on this page reflects the current statement.
