Data Request

Use this page to request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your Alera account. Signed-in users can also export or delete data from Settings. Alera is educational software—not a medical device.
Self-serve options (fastest)
If you can sign in, use Settings to export a copy of your account data or permanently delete your account and associated application data, subject to legal retention needs (for example billing records).
- Settings → Privacy Center → Export
- Settings → Privacy Center → Delete account
Email a data request
If you cannot access Settings, email privacy@aleralabs.io with subject “Data request” and include:
- Full name and the email on the Alera account
- Request type: access, correction, export, deletion, or other
- Enough detail for us to locate your account (without sending passwords)
- Your relationship to the account (account holder or authorized agent—agents may need proof of authority)
Identity verification
We verify requests to protect against unauthorized disclosure. We may ask you to confirm control of the account email or provide additional information reasonably necessary to verify identity.
Timing
We aim to respond within timeframes required by applicable law (for example CCPA/CPRA consumer request timelines where they apply). Complex or voluminous requests may need additional time; we will tell you if an extension is needed.
Limits
We may decline or limit a request when allowed by law—for example if we cannot verify identity, the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or data must be retained for security, fraud prevention, tax, or legal compliance.
